The town of Newmarket has a population of about 7,000 and is located between Durham and Newfields along the Great Bay and bounded by Lee and Epping on its west. Though the towns roots spring from the banks of the Lamprey and Great Bay it is far more than a mill town today. Along with the vibrant downtown area are the industrial park, small businesses, Athletic Club, Golf course, Recreation center, and library.
